Our General Assembly for 2017 took place at the Haute Ecole de Gestion in Geneva with the participation of a majority of our ASVIE members.
President Miki Vayloyan introduced the review of the annual financials for the past 2 years and steps forward for the association were determined on with the contribution of our present members.
Other hot topics which were discussed during the assembly included our social media presence, way forward with sponsors, and the vision and strategy for Swissintell. New statutes of the association were reported on and the potential for growth for Swissintell in the new term was underlined. The importance of unifying regional groups under the banner of Swissintell and broadening the scope of our future events was once again emphasized.
Our members welcomed new additions to the Board of Directors: Lorille Alger responsible for the Digital Leadership and Lead ASVIE committee and Murat Can Anadol directing strategic partnerships & sponsors. Our ad-interim President Miki Vayloyan and ad-interim Vice President Alain Mermoud were recognized as the new President and Vice President, respectively, with the votes and enthusiastic support of our members.
The GA also witnessed the departure of the BoD members Jens Thieme, Juliane Schulz, Phil Allen and Mario Michel. We all thank them for their contributions and wish them the best in their future endeavors.
Our successful 2017 General Assembly was followed by the “Economic Intelligence, a Major Competitive Advantage” conference sponsored by FOROM and OPI, and was crowned with speeches and round table discussions involving Pierre Maudet, the Geneva Head of Security and Economy, Prof. Hélène Madinier, member of Swissintell and professor at HEG-Geneva and Prof. Christian Harbulot, director of the Economic Warfare School.
