So, what are Europe’s possible futures up through 2022 ? The authors of this text conclude that given the variable demographic, economic and security trends that are occurring in the region, both internally and externally, the spectrum of possible futures is wide, encompassing everything from rebirth to disintegration, and that a push towards greater EU-wide integration doesn’t seem very likely at all.
